Five years ago we discovered be&be in Castlemaine and truly loved the vibe of this outstanding Airbnb. Fast forward to the present and we were finally able to return. It actually felt like coming home! This is a glorious double-storey building, oozing character, history, charm & comfort. The outside garden area & views beyond, create a further tranquil feeling. The king size bed is divinely comfortable & the shower is amazing! Nicola is a brilliant, attentive host who had the heater & lamps on for our arrival. The breakfast provisions were generous and delicious. Not one to miss!

Our castlemaine winter retreat at be&be has been an indulgence! From a cold southern-hemisphere winter, we meandered through a Central-American inspired garden to enter a building akin to a small elizabethan chapel. Once inside, we were so flummoxed by the warmth of its earthy design - (hah) like being transported to a 'once upon a time in hollywood' movie set (just waiting on margot robbie to shimmy on by). With goodies from 'the mill' and food from the fridge, we had our first dinner as comfortably as we would from our own place. With ample coffee, tea, and bread and jam and fruit and egg and bacon and yoghurt provisions, we broke our fast in grand fashion while our pup mosied around the well sunlit house. With the mix of retro and rustic design, our puppy felt really comfy and not trapped by the prospect of high design breakage. At night, the place was all magic with the mix of wood and amber light (and Netflix access) - this was a very welcome environment after a meal at 'wild' which is less than a couple of kilometres away. Oh Ccastlemaine, every sojourn is a seduction... our stay was just way too short.

It is no wonder that Nicola is a SuperHost - she's an exceptional host. We had the most relaxing stay at her studio in Castlemaine. It is an incredible home, renovated with so many thoughtful touches, making it a wonderful base to lose yourself in hours of reading or a launch point to explore Castlemaine and Daylesford. Look forward to returning!

Beyond perfect! Be&Be was the perfect getaway for our weekend wedding in the Goldfields. Nicola was a fantastic host and the property was delightful. Beautiful designed and decorated, with wonderful amenities and breakfast. Thank you so much for having us and for letting us take wedding photos in your garden! We are sure to be back!!!

Quaint, cosy and perfect country stay. We had just the BEST time staying at be&be. It is styled so beautifully with gorgeous persian rugs on white concrete floors and white floorboards in the loft. The gardens and views were stunning. It was a very cold weekend but the studio was warm and inviting when we got there. We had our dog with us who was very happy staying there too! The property is close to the city centre and botanical gardens. Nicola was sooooo accommodating and responsive with our many requests and everything was just perfect, from the beds and sitting areas, to the towels in the bathroom. On top of that, she dropped off some amazing produce for our breakfast from around the area which we didn't expect. Blown away by the level of service from Nicola. We felt lucky to have gotten the place for the weekend! Thanks again and we hope to be back soon.

Fabulous accommodation! Nicola is amazing. She has thought of everything for her guests! The house is beautifully equipped, aesthetically pleasing, peaceful and so comfortable. The house is in a great location in beautiful historic Castlemaine. Grateful for all the hospitality and great communication from the host. We got home and rebooked for our next holiday.

Staying at Be&Be was fantastic, the property is beautifully designed and within such a close distance to the main town of Castlemaine. Upon arrival, we discovered lovely herbal teas and fresh local produce provided by Nicola. The products that are used in the property are all exquisite and also locally sourced. The grounds are divine, with perfectly landscaped succulents and gum trees. The beds are so comfortable and even though it was cold outside, we were warm and cosy indoors. We can recommend this property for anyone wanting an escape, who appreciates exceptional products/food and who loves to be in such an aesthetically designed location. Exquisite stay at Be&Be.

On top of the world, well Castlemaine! Set overlooking Castlemaine, a treasure of what we called home over a long weekend away. With loving interior design, every space is thought out to ensure comfort. There were so many options to sit back read and enjoy the environment created by Nicola. The little touches of breakfast provisions, a fruit bowl and mindful magazine’s were really appreciated. We also enjoyed being able to walk everywhere as everything is so close. There is also the most tranquil outlook from the main bedroom over the town, I had the best sleep ever, with being so comfortable. Thanks Nicola for creating such as awesome unique space.

The place was beautifully elegant. A glorious retreat tucked amongst gum trees and floral paths. Nicola ensured my stay was comfortable and checked in to see if I had everything I required. The fridge had been even been stocked with breakfast supplies !!!!! The bed was super comfortable with a view worthy of a magazine spread. Highly recommend!

What an incredible space and location. We stayed here for our wedding weekend. It is beautifully designed, styled and incredibly comfortable. Nicola, we can’t thank you enough for the stunning space that made our wedding extra special. We will be back. Our friends and family will be too!

Nicola’s BnB in Castlemaine is the best Airbnb I have ever stayed in. We could not fault it. It was such a luxury to have accomodation that was beautiful, with details considered, which also catered to us brining our dogs. This place does not compromise on the details and the luxuries — a well equiped kitchen for cooking everything you need, stunning sunrise and sunset views from the top of the hill or from the bed, a luxurious bathroom, a dog run for the dogs, and multiple living areas. The location was perfect and a short walk into Castlemaine shops, yet the aspect and garden made you feel as though you were in the bush. Loved this place so much.

Nicola was an amazing host. We were in awe at the beautiful decor in the cottage, the best taste out of any Airbnb we’ve been to. We caught beautiful sunrises from the top of the hill where the property is situated. Nicola supplied food for breakfast and was very accomodating when we needed some flexibility to work remotely. The garden and the Lilly the dog were a bonus! Would love to come back sometime.

Serene and stylish 70’s Cool! Nicola’s accommodation is gorgeous. Quiet and private with a lovely lookout and not far from shops and restaurants. Ideal for a relaxing getaway. There is an upstairs mezzanine with a king size bed and a downstairs zone which also had a queen bed so was ideal for my friend and I to have our own spaces. Gorgeous and romantic getaway for a couple too. Would definitely recommend.

Be&be was an incredible space, the perfect weekend getaway. We were blown away but the stunning interior and can confidently say it was our favourite Airbnb stay to date. Nicola was a wonderful and accommodating host, making sure we had everything we needed for a lovely stay. It was hard to leave. Back again soon I'm sure.

Be&be is beautiful accommodation, a walkable distance from the city centre in Castlemaine. The studio has been thoughtfully and stylishly designed - ideal for couples who are seeking a boutique getaway. Nicola was a great host, always providing information and responses in a timely manner. The breakfast provided was delicious and generous with ample bread, spreads, juice, milk, yoghurt and granola for four guests.

It is a beautiful space, with stunning decor, very cosy & comfortable, and surrounded by a gorgeous garden. be&be was very relaxing, quiet and tranquil. A perfect location up on the hill, only a few minutes to the centre of town to everything you need. Our host, Nicola, provided treats for our dietary requirements, and the studio had everything we needed for a comfortable homely stay. Excellent communication with Nicola, she was very responsive and respectful of privacy. We highly recommend be&be, it exceeded our expectations and we will be booking again in the near future.

Beautiful two level apartment in a modernly renovated old building. A lot of effort has gone into designing the interior of this space and it makes for such a relaxing stay. The well equipped kitchen means you can cook if you'd like but it is also a nice walk into the town to eat out. I'd highly recommend be&be and would be happy to stay there again!
